HEY THERE!   
 
     My name's Nicole Regina van der Veen, formerly Nicole Sotis, I'm 25 years old, married, and I'm a colored pencil fine artist. I use photos and translate them photo-realistically into a personalized masterpiece just for you. 

     I've been an artist all my life like my mother, Silvia, and I have used many different styles and techniques, never sticking with one style. On top of that, I have never settled on one exclusive medium either. I have taken art classes since I was young, but never could decide what I wanted to do with my talents. following a Rendering class in community college around 2020, I made my father an art piece from a photo of him using markers and pencils. It came out so well at the time I started doing them for other family members as gifts. After that, my work continues to improve, and I learn new things everyday.

​     and lastly to add, after six years with him, in october 2022, I married a wonderful man named kevin. I don't know what I would do without him and his love, support, amazing sense of humor, and care. It seems i met my other half, my best friend and partner in crime.
